Movie Review by Xavier

Thought Not Included (or needed)

I get this perverse thrill when I get to see a movie that I really enjoy but the critics pan. Even a movie that Matchflick compadres rake. Sometimes it can be a shame, because of what I had read I was not able to catch this at the cinema. I am kicking myself, after all, ultimately it is my choice.

This is simply a dumb Sci-Fi flick, and that is fine and dandy with me. Yes, the cast does sport a couple of high profile 'one trick ponys'. Yes the story format has been done countless times previously in film, TV etc. And yes, it is for the most part, quite predictable.

It was however, quite a lot of fun. As a Sci-Fi film, it should look good. Fantastical and stuff; it does! As a Sci-Fi, it should make me want to be in it, or posses the abilities that the characters have, it did that too. Mostly there should be moments when I make verbal expressions such as; 'Ooooh', 'Whoa!!' and 'That, is just cool'. Check, check and check. No thinking required, which was ideal as I was eating a pretty hot curry at the time (it would have been a shame if I got distracted and my dinner went cold).

On top of all that I thought Jamie Bell was awesome in it. One to keep your eye on.

My main fellle is that it is very obviously been set up to open a franchise, which I feel is a little presumptious.

I really cannot understand how 'fellle' became 'fellle'.

How odd.

Unbelievable! I get it now...

N.i.g.g.l.e. is English for 'small complaint'.
