Whodunit?
In Director Alfred Hitchcock's world of movie make-believe, theaters are where danger stalks in the wings, characters are never what they seem, and the final curtain can drop at any second.
The movie Stage Fright, a wickedly wry whodunit, springs from this very tradition.
Jane Wyman plays Eve Gill, a drama student, who goes to great lengths in attempts to clear her friend John Cooper (Richard Todd) of being framed for murder.
Filmed in London, England, Hitchcock cleverly juggles elements of humor and whodunit, and puts together a fine ensemble of cast members, which includes Alastair Sim and Marlene Dietrich.
Check it out.
