This is a complex story of the different sides of truth, and how it affects time, and the people apart of it. The way the story unfolds from crime drama to psychologically emotion is the one of the main reasons of why this film has lost none of its original impact. Kurosawa gives us a particular scene to work with, and guides us from there as learn from the point of view from four different people, after a terrible tragedy occurs, and how it connects all four of those people, who come from all walks of life. We don't know the actual truth of the matter, but we certainly can relate to it.
