Favorite Movie Quote: "This is the FUN VEE..... Waiting on you now."
It takes a special kind of movie to make me want to turn around and watch again immediately. The last movie before tonight that I wanted to watch again immediately was The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Tonight I saw Iron Man. Iron Man is every bit as good as it has been advertised and then some.
I am not that familiar with the Comic Book Character of Tony Stark/Iron Man. I only just picked up the comic last week. Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark. This may be the best cast superhero since Christopher Reeve donned the cape as Superman back in '78. Everyone else in the cast is first rate as well. Particularly Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. I am not a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow but she is the heart and soul of the movie. Jeff Bridges (The Dude himself) is quite convincing as the movie's villan Obadiah Stane. My only complaint is that there isn't more of Terrance Howard as Rhodey, liason between the military and Stark Industries. He's quite fun as the straight man to Tony Stark's wild man.
When Iron Man finally flies midway through the movie, it's as exciting as anything I have seen in a long long time. Me wants Iron Man 2 now please!!!
