Iron Man Lives Again
Arrogance, wealth, fame. Tony Stark has all of the above, and hes adored for it. His energy is one both women and men want to be around. He also gets himself into a little bit of trouble now and again, but hes definitely a decent kind of guy. Who better than to pull off a role like this than Robert Downey Jr.? Someone who clearly has shown that he is made of a substance more powerful than just mere flesh, with the battles in his personal life, and the roles we've come to know him in. The term "Iron Man" would sincerely apply offscreen as well as on, in reference to his talent and endurance.
Pumped-up and packed with killer effects, Iron Man adequately does the job combining the right qualities of an action movie with the futuristic prospects of comic-book slickness. Add to that the range of Jeff Bridges, the genuineness of Gwyneth Paltrow, and the affable cool of Terrence Howard and you are in for a sweet ride.
Personal note:
Great supporting cast, namely Shaun Toub. Would love to buy this when it comes out on DVD to hopefully see Jon Favreau in action and some behind the scenes on how it was all done. Wow.

| Oh my gosh, yeah. Terrence Howard was delicious!! er, I mean, delightful. I was hoping the "easter egg" at the end was that he'd be Iron Man's sidekick in the sequel. |

| Nice review, baby girl! Hit all the bases bam, bam, bam and out. Always good to hear from you. I was a little surprised that you gave this five stars for something that you said "adequately" did the job but...hey, that's just me. But lady, I think you're a much better writer than you give yourself credit for. You opened this review up like a house on fire. I almost wanted to hear more from you. But then, I always do. :) |
