Movie Review by Andy
March 20th, 2008

Well, 2 1/2 stars might be a little high, but this movie is a lot more entertaining than it has a right to be. The whole point of a western/zombie comedy is to give you some dumb entertainment. Undead or Alive is entertaining, I'll give it that.

There are plenty of moments of absolutely no class, but that's the idea. Seeing a zombie eating someone's brains from their head with a spoon is a pretty cheap laugh, but you do laugh.

This is never supposed to be a great or even good movie, but it does everything it's supposed to do. Chris Kattan and James Denton work as the funny odd couple. The gore is at the right cheesy level. The story itself is just wacky enough to be funny. Plus, Navi Rawat especially does what she's supposed to do in being pretty hot.

I watched this on Netflix's "instant" section. So, I sort of watched it for free. This really isn't a movie you pay $5 for at Blockbuster, but if you can rent it for a buck, it's some good old idiot fun.
