Hood of Horror (2006)

Awesomely Bad
Ever watched a movie so unimpressive that you just couldn't stop watching it?
"Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror" is one of those movies. I don't really know why I watched the entire movie. It is in it's entirety, a mess.
Each story is supposed to teach a lesson about honor and morality, but the plots are so ridiculous, that it comes across as comedy.
I must admit that the movie is so terribly created, that I actually enjoyed it.
It was "Awesomely Bad." Kind of like those old movies that were made to scare young teenagers out of having sex. You know, the ones that claim that if you have sex before you're married, your genitals will fall off? Everybody loves those films. Not because they are good, but because they're fun to ridicule.
My personal favorite was the story involving the spoiled son and daughter-in-law of a recently deceased veteran. There is so much humor in that one, that I actually have to think very hard to understand the moral of the story. The caviar scene is priceless.
Everything you could ask for in gore is in Hood of Horror. HOWEVER, it's not quite a good thing. While there's 40 oz beer bottles being pushed through people's skulls, exploding abdomens, and walls covered in blood, it's over-done. At some scenes, it seems as if somebody tried way to hard to make it scary, and thus turned a would-be horror film into a comedy.
I suggest this movie to anyone who enjoys drinking a case of cheap beer and laughing at really bad films. (Which would be me... And probably nobody else.)

Awesomely back, the Ninja is. After taking the beating for not liking HOT FUZZ (although I applaud you being honest in your opinion, because an opinion will never be wrong, just so long as it isn't based on false pretenses), I know you felt the movie geek world was not your place.
But I demand that you make at the very least a weekly appearance. Ninjas help balance out the douchbags of the world. Just another fact you need to commit to memory.
GEEEENA, we love you.
Didja know that Midget was reading a passage that was assigned in her class the other day and the girl character's name was "Gina" and so when the teacher had her read it out loud, she of course pronounced it the "RIGHT" way and the teacher looked at her like she was nuts. She says she told the teacher, "But my mommy's friend spells her name G-I-N-A and that's not how she says it." When she was corrected.
I say, rock the f*ck on. And this comment is too long.
Please keep em coming. |

I'll try to make more appearances, but my DVD player is broken, so I'm stuck illegally steaming videos online. Which is a very tiring process, since time for loading is torturous and an hour long movie ends up taking 4 hours.
I still don't like Hot Fuzz. Hahaha.
