Movie Review by Lisa
April 18th, 2008

My hormones are f*cking with my judgement...

Now the first time I watched this movie when it hit the theatres, and I found it laughable... I mean c'mon there is no way lil Freddie Highmore would be so wide eyed and innocent if he'd spent all his life in the care of the state, not to mention his god awful yanky accent, now I know he's young an all but it was really poo. The other thing I intially detested was the meeting of Keri Russell, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers at the begining of the movie. Now I spent a fair bit of time on the music scene, and met quite a few musician and Irish men, and that whole crap on the roof wouldn't happen the way it was portrayed.

However I did recently watch this movie again on PPV and although every ounce of my body told me that I should like it or be emotionally affected in anyway by this movie, I found myself drowning in the romance of this fairy tale story (urrgh I'm so disapointed in myself) and yes I even cried like a baby when the 3 are reunited at the end.

The only rational explanation for my disgraceful change of heart in regards to a film that I previously classed as sh*te, is that my hormones have finally taken over my brain... I'm blaming this on pregnancy... it's the babies fault I tell yeh.

Anyhoo if your the type of person who likes romantic fairytale sh*t, or your 6 months pregnant then you probably love this movie, otherwise just walk away coz its really poo.

I know... I'm so disgusted with myself.
