Movie Review by Tim

Take a piece from everything and call it your own!

Favorite Movie Quote: "We fought the infection. We survived the apocalypse. And now, we face extinction."

I really liked Resident Evil part one. Resident Evil: Apocalypse which is part two didn't set to well with me the first time I saw it, the jokes (like Grand Theft Auto b*tch) and other things seemed to comic booky for me and just did not have the overall creepiness that the film needed to be a Resident Evil film. Although after viewing it a few more times there were some things that I liked about it so I accepted it as not a complete failure.

I knew ahead of time that this film didn't go over to well with the box office, fans or zombieboys (not THE zombieboy but people who really like zombie films.) So when the film started off I was pretty excited because the pace seemed really nice and I saw a few things that I liked. Quickly thought I started having de ja vu of other films.

Jesus Christ Day of the Dead was the worst film in Romero's REAL zombie trilogy because of ONE thing. BUB!!!!! I don't want to see zombies learn freaking tricks. What is next sending them to the Westminster Kennel Club dog show and having them jump through hoops? You have a zombie that is wearing headphones (like Bub) and trying to play with toddler building blocks and sh*t???? STUPID STUPID STUPID!!

Then (maybe before we see the BUB wannabe) you have all the clones being shown that didn't work out right JUST like in Alien 4 when they are trying to clone Ripley?

Another thing I love about this film is why in zombie films do some people INSTANTLY change when they are bitten and some people can go DAYS?? The black man from part 2 that returns (Mike Epps) gets bitten and we see it go from day to night back to day and he still hasn't turned. Then he is showing NO signs of infection, no coughing, spitting, pain or anything and all the sudden when the other zombies start attacking the crew in the desert he turns???

Not too mention, I don't remember the zombies in parts one or two being fast athletes like the are in the Dawn of the Dead remake or 28 Days Later. So did the T-virus change?

Also Umbrella is smart enough to build the most sophisticated underground city ever conceived but then the chains they use to keep a zombie locked up are weak enough for the zombie to break free??? COME ON NOW....

THEN Umbrella has the most sophisticated equipment ever made but they are only 68% sure that their CLEAR AS DAY photo is Alice????? Back in the 90's we were able to find Osama Bin Laden in the desert and CLEARLY identify him but Umbrella cant???

This movie was written poorly, directed poorly and Johnny Cage is in it??
