Uhhhhh....
I wish I could have something constructive with which to write about regarding this movie, but I don't.
I guess the thing that I'd like to point out is that I've recently been gorging myself on low budget movies, and as I was sitting in the theater watching RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, I wondered how many millions it had been made for. I counted the number of people in the theater and estimated that it would come in number one or two at the box office for this weekend.
I then felt very sick to my stomach about what that said about my country and how we covet pure, unbridled sh*t just because it has a high price tag. This is the Coach bag of movies. It looks good (I guess, I think Coach bags are ugly) but it's not worth the cost. It's merely a statement of what we can do with a lot of money in terms of camera angles, cinematography skills and technological advancements.
But the acting is worse than what I've seen in most low budget flicks. There is no fun here, not even a drop of the unintentional campiness that the first installment had. Milla even looks like sh*t, aside from the fact that she's wandering the deserts with perfectly glossed lips which show no traces of dryness.
This is such a waste. If it had the same story, the same script, the same acting and was made on a shoestring budget, people would be lining up to talk so much sh*t about it.
Strike that... people wouldn't know that it existed. And that would be a good thing.

And here come Misty still in shock from the fact that I loved this movie and you said it's sh*t! Damn! Just when I thought I could get over here and post a first review of a new movie that I actually got out and saw in the theatre...and happened to like it a lot...dashed, by the beautiful Z, once again! ;)
No, but seriously, I like it. *waits to be slapped*
I'm not so intelligent when it comes to movies...how much they cost to make or apparently if they're sh*t or not, but I really did enjoy this flick...aside from a few small details which I'll include in my review. |

yeah..um...charlie......a life...ya might wanna look into where you can get one of those....
Z, I've not an ounce of desire to watch this flick. I cannot deal with Milla. I can't think of anything she has done that I didn't loathe. I mean, I really enjoyed Dazed & Confused, but couldn't stand her character, and everything else I can remember sucked completely. Remember when she attempted a recording carreer? **shudder** OK, strike that, if I recall correctly in the 1st R.E., I remember a body being bisected by a pane of glass and one side sliding down ahead of the other to reveal an interesting cross section of the human anatomy, I remember that as the first of several such scenes in movies, and I dug it. But she had nothing to do with that at all. OK. done rambling on. |

| No big desire to see this one, even if people are saynig it's the best of the trilogy. If this is the best RE film yet, is that saying much? No, because the first two were terrible. Not sure why people have to bash you for not liking this movie. Seems kind of childish to curse at someone for a having a different opinion. Seriously, were these people IN the movie? With how much you're hurting their feelings with your review, you would think so. |
