I'll be coming for you. Depend on it.
What do you expect from a Morgan Freeman film? Well if nothing else you know you will get a memorable performance by the legendary actor. The Contract is not a great script, the dialogue is average, the special effects are just a step above B grade but the film was great because Morgan Freeman can make anything seem better then it really is.
The Contract is about a young boy and his father played by John Cusack...taking a camping trip to bond with each other. Along the way an assassin which is Morgan Freeman has escaped custody and an armed officer before dying hands his pistol to John Cusack and tells him to keep custody of Freeman until the Police arrive.
Sounds easy enough but the hard part comes in when Freeman's men which are basically trained ex-military fighters start to hunt the group down because they want their boss back.
Morgan Freeman is an acting God. If you don't like Morgan Freeman then something is seriously wrong with your taste. This film with any other actor would have never been more then a late night Cinemax action flick but Morgan is able to bring the movie to a theatre release level.
John Cusack actually does pretty well in this also. I'm not usually a fan but he was very believable in the character that he portrayed. I would say that this is more of a guy flick being that there is a lot of guns, killing, and a very short nude scene in the woods.
I'm glad I rented this......Morgan Freeman RULES!
