Really Good

As popular and as well known as the Rambo series is, I am sure that a few fans were actually expecting this 4th part to come out soon or later. This is actually the first Rambo movie I have ever seen, and now I am really tempted to check out the rest of the series. Directed and acted by Sylvester Stallone, we gear up for an intense film. Many critics called it over-violent and nothing more then a brutal mash up of a film, I believe that Sylvester created a really cool action film.

As the character story is kind of weak here, we get some little character stuff which makes some difference. I last thought that John was nothing more then a killing machine, but seeing this film actually made me think. It made me think of John as an actual person with feelings, more then a brutal killer with nothing more on his mind then bloodshed. As the opening credits begin to roll, we see John walking towards his old house, showing that maybe it is time for him to move on with his life, and set things straight with his non existing family.

As an action movie, Rambo consantly kept pushing and pushing the limits of its very tight R rating. Now, Sylvesters last writer/director project was Rocky Balboa, which was really good, and Sylvester kept the same shaky and handheld camera style for Rambo. The biggest action scene is of course, in the ending, so we get the most blood and the most gore. As Rambo begins erasing wave after wave of enemies with his 50 caliber, the gore fest begins. Heads are removed, arms and other limbs are torn from bodies, blood splatters splash every object in sight, and more.

Bottom Line: Rambo is not just another sequel, but one which lives up to its reputation and finishes out the series with a bang.

FYI- In a recent talk with Sylvester Stallone, it is said that after his next project he might work on a new Rambo. Uh oh.

PS: I had written this review in my other account, I just copied it to my new one.
