Movie Review by Zara
July 8th, 2007

Eh...

I didn't have very high expectations for this movie. In fact, I really didn't have any other than it would suck. But I went to go see it because I was bored yesterday, wanted something to do and my 6 year old was begging to see it based on the lame commercial with the weird robot babies.

Well, it didn't disappoint in the sucking arena. Williams is pretty much dialing it in. Moore is adorable but she's just so damn BLAND. You can't hate her but there isn't much about her to love either. My midget thought that it was cool that the obnoxious little boy from NANCY DREW was the obnoxious little boy in this one.

I also was bothered by the fact that the parents were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and Christine Taylor quite clearly looks far older than that. I can't stand when movies think we're too stupid to catch onto that crap.

I think I laughed once, although I can't remember what from. The only reason why I'm giving this any stars at all is John Krasinski. While he's BLAND as well, there's something to him that's very honest. I didn't know who he was and needed to go looking him up. That's what I get for not watching TV. Apparently he's very popular on "The Office." Well, the American version of a British show. Stuff like that, even if it stars Steve Carell, makes me steer clear. In any case, there was something about him which wasn't annoying. Damned if I could place it. He's not attractive and he's not all that funny. But at least he wasn't as bad as someone else could have been.

Damn stupid robot babies owe me $10.
