CGC 9.7

I'm glad the fantastic four movies are different than the comics. If they were the same, I would rather read the comics. This was easily, hands down, without a doubt the best movie ever to be based on a comic book.

There were only a few minor flaws that I could find in this otherwise perfect movie. Three things to be exact. Victor Von Doom's face wasn't disfigured. I can overlook this fact because he still wears his trademark mask for a couple of minutes. The other thing is Galactus. It didn't bother me that they made him look like a swarm of killer rocks. The problem I had, was that it required two hours of movie time to stop the Silver Surfer, yet it only took a matter of minutes to stop the devourer of worlds. And I didn't think that they made the Thing rocky enough.

The main reason this movie stands out is because of the sensational acting of Jessica Alba. Without her, this movie would have been unbearable. All anyone ever seems to notice about her is how amazingly beautiful she is. Don't judge this book by it's cover. Ms. Alba is one of the most talented actresses to come along in the last five years. Oh, and what makes her even more special is the fact that she is all natural.

Ronclusion: Jessica Alba is mesmerizing in her portrayal of Susan Storm. She steals every scene she's in and I'm willing to bet that she steals an Academy Award for her performance.
