A Fantastic Sequel Which Is Better That The First

Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer Movie Review

Director: Tim Story

Actors: Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis

Rated PG: For Sequences of Action Violence, and Some Mild Language, and Innuendo

Fantastic Four is based on the long running comic book from Marvel.

Having just gotten comfortable with their newfound superpowers, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing face a world-devastating threat in the form of the Silver Surfer a strange being who travels through space on a cosmic surfboard. But while trying to subdue their silvery foe, America's first superhero family discover to their horror that the Surfer is just a herald for an even bigger menace: the planet-devouring Galactus.

Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer was probably one of the best sequels to a comic book movie I have ever seen. Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer has Great Acting, Good Directing, Fantastic Special Effects, and Great Writing. The Special Effects were no doubt the best aspect for this summer sequel, The Silver Surfer aka the headliner for the film, was utterly amazing, he looked wicked awesome. His voice was decent by Laurence Fishburne, and he did talk quite a bit for me, and I liked him the more he talked. Everytime he was on screen was fun and exciting. Galactus, I thought was awesome even if he was one huge cloud, I'm sure you'll see him in his robot/human form it later films, but for this film it worked, at least for me it did. Except how the Four fought him in the end, that was disappointing, but yet fun to watch. Other than that the Special Effects were generally awesome, and way better action sequences in the sequel than the first film.

The Acting was the films second best aspect, with everyone returning including Dr. Doom whom was as cool as the first film, but the real awards go to Jessica Alba and the rest of the cast. Jessica Alba, does yet another amazing job as Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, One thing I read in another review was that she's really orange and honestly she wasn't. Chris Evans, does yet again another spectacular job as the Human Torch. Michael Chiklis, yet again does another amazing job as the Thing. Lastly Ioan Gruffudd, did an exceptionally better job than the first film, I liked how he let loose a bit more in this film compared to the uptight guy he was in the first film. Lastly Kerry Washington, did another wonderful job as Alicia Masters, as she did in the first film.

The Writing and Directing tie in at last place, but they are good aspects. The Writing in this film seemed to be a bit more fun compared to the films predecessor, and it definitely had funnier jokes, and better everything compared to the first film. One more thing I'd like to mention was the continuing fighting/bickering between Human Torch and The Thing was wonderful as in the first film. The switching of the Fantastic Fours powers does add on some humor and creativeness to the film.

The Directing was no doubt better, with better action sequences, better camera angles, better environment and better cinematography. One last thing a critic reported that they disliked about the film was all the endorsements from real companies and honestly I didn't even notice a lot of that and I really didn't care, it's no doubt not a major problem in the film. Basically if you liked the first or even you didn't, you'll like this movie. Also its not only for kids and if you're an adult and you fall asleep at this action packed sequel that's sad and pathetic.

Overall If you like Jessica Alba, or any other cast member, or the Silver Surfer. You'll like or even love the sequel which is 10 times better than the first film.

I agree with your source, I thought Alba looked a little too tan and a little too made up. She's much cuter when they're not trying so hard.
I really liked this one though. I thought the chemistry btwn Johnny and Ben was really well done.
