Can't get enough of this!

28 Weeks Later was everything I was hoping for and was a perfect example of how horror films should and pretty easily be done. I sat on the edge of seat for the majority of the film very excited to see the outcome of the characters and to see an ending to the adventure.

It starts off very quickly, before you know it you are already being exposed to those "make you jump" style scenes. Also they did not hold anything back with the gore, plenty of blood and ruthless killing which is what a horror film is supposed to have.

I always said the one thing I didn't like about 28 Days Later was the lack of firearms.......This film fixes that right up. Also if you have seen the original Dawn of the Dead film then you will always remember the scene when the zombie walks into the spinning helicopter blades and chops his head off. Well now once you see this film you will remember when a helicopter pilot uses the blades of his bird to dismember about 50 or more of the infected monsters with body parts, blood and who knows what else flying everywhere.

The reason I did not give this film a 4.5 or 5 star rating was because I didn't like the soundtrack.....and I don't know if the theatre I was at just had the sound adjusted wrong or if the films sound levels just weren't compiled correctly but the music in some parts was WAY too loud.

Other then that it was a great film.....keep your eye on Rose Byrne I think she is going to be one of the next big stars.....

!@#$%^&* Spoilers !@#$%^&*

At the end it sets up for a sequel which would happen in Paris.......BUT this film is not doing well at the box office and has not made half of what the first film made in the theatre. So if you are a fan of the series go to the theatre and pay your $7.00.....hopefully they will still make another addition!

28 Days Later cost $10 million, but made $80 million. That is more than a success. That is a f*cking huge smashing success. I don't know how much Weeks has made, so far, but it's still playing regularly around here. I have seen it twice already, so I am doing my part :)

yeah thats what I was saying......as of today 28 Weeks Later has made $35,229,116 , $24,421,000 made in the United States and the rest overseas......But they had to have spent probably twice the budget on this because they had more effects, explosions, etc....and a couple of the actors were actually known people that have been in other big movies. 80 million on a 10 million investment is a great return but I bet that they have probably just broken even if that on 28 Weeks.
