I was terribly excited to find this DVD in my local vid shop, after all I just can't resist a bit of Pegg, and I hadn't seen this one. Anyhoo so I get all comfy on the recliner and pop it on, now I must admit when I heard Pegg with a yanky accent my heart sank just a little but as I watched more I saw the Pegg I love through the dodgy yanky accent.
Schwimmer plays a super clever guy Charlie who has PhD's coming out the yin yang unfortunately due to lack of interest in his book he is forced to get a job in a computer tech call centre to pay the bills. Meet Gus (Pegg) he's a bit of a nob head who spins Schwimmer a line about his daughter being sick and how he has a plan to make some cash by black mailing a Reverend whose a bit of a perv. Gus twists Charlie's arm into helping him out with the scam along with Gus's ex.... of course things go all 'Pete Tong' (wrong), axes fly and the wrong people die.
This certainly isn't the best movie Pegg's been but it is worth a viewing and the film does have a killer ending... I say check out its a good mid week movie.
