Sounds like you've had a hard life.
You know after seeing the type of movies that WWE (which for those of you non-wrestling fans means World Wrestling Entertainment) has been putting out I was not expecting much out of this. The Marine was not that great to put it nicely and I did not even bother with trying to watch See No Evil.
At first all I could think of was how bad Stone Cold Steve Austin's acting was. Then I started noticing that it might not be him....it might be the editing which anyone knows that if the editing is not right it will make the actors seem as if they are reading straight from the Que cards. So as the film went along I saw that Austin was no DeNiro or Pacino but was not a Bow Wow or Shaq.
The film moves at a steady pace and has some good action scenes but nothing to really get super involved with the story. Vinnie Jones is pretty good in this but his character reminded me sooooo much of Vernon Wells in Commando....Don't ask me why.
If you had a Hollywood blender and took Surviving the Game and The Running Man and mixed them together....the end result would be The Condemned. What is scary is that on some of the special features of the DVD it is said that this film went through something like 9 rewrites before being made.....I would hate to see how bad that first draft was.
One thing that this film lacked was fight choreography and weapon selections....very basic items and attack formations were used which gave it an extremely "B" grade feel.
I think that a well known "A" list actor even if they had a supporting role would have really brought this film to the next level.
