The Hawk Is Dying

The Hawk Is Dying is about an auto upholsterer (Paul Giamatti) who's looking for his purpose in life. He manages to find a magnificent hawk and decides to train it. Despite not having the approval of friends and family, he is determined to succeed in training the hawk. The film also co-stars Michael Pitt (The Dreamers, Last Days) and Michelle Williams (The Baxter, The Station Agent). It took me the first half -hour to get into the film because the pace of the film was slow but it got better, as some the dramatic action started to pick up. Paul Giamatti performance was very good and convincing. Also Michelle Williams gives a good supporting performance, as I thought the chemistry between her and Giamatti was good. If you're a Paul Giamatti fan then you will like The Hawk Is Dying.
