Favorite Movie Quotes for Lonely Hearts :

Martha Beck: Has anybody ever loved you that much, detective? To kill or die... for you?

Another sleeper...Lately the best movies I have been watching are the ones that I have never heard of. John Travolta, James Gandolfini and Salma Hayek on the cover so I knew even if the script was pure utter garbage that there should at least be some good acting.

Well not only is the script really good, being that it is based the true events of a murdering couple from decades ago.....the writer really did a good job converting those stories and characters to a good screenplay.

This might be a surprise to some people but I would say that this is Salma Hayek's best screen performance that I have ever seen. She is amazing as the psycho lover that helps kill dozens of women. Jared Leto should not be overlooked in this film either, he brought a great performance to the plate as well.

This was not Travolta's or Gandolfini's best work ever but still worth watching just to see them two together. In the film they are partners and have a special relationship with each other that the two actors were able to grasp well. Travolta looked as if he had put on a little too much weight for this role....either that or he just had not been working out or dieting at all before he made this film.

I would liked to have seen a little more of the killings in this film but what they do show you is pretty violent and there is some erotic scenes as well that are pretty intense.

Worth every bit of a $5.00 rental..
