Surprising.

Disturbia is a suprisingly good Rear Window type movie for the MTV SUper Sweet 16 Generation. Don't get me wrong, it will never come close to Alfred Hitchcock's classic, but it is a very entertaining movie.

Shia Lebouf plays Kale, a young man who is serving house arrest for the summer for assaulting his teacher. After his moter takes away is XBox and Cable TV, Kale takes up his time looking out the window with binoculars and spying on his neighbors. At first it is the beautiful new girl next door. It turns to the loner across the street who has some striking similarities to an unknown killer from Austin, Tx. The fact that I live in Austin, the movie got a huge pop from the crowd.

The movie is pretty suspenseful despite it's predictable nature. I was pleasantly surprised.
