City Lights (1931)

Perhaps Charlie Chaplin's most memorable film tells the story of his much beloved tramp who falls in love with an innocent blind flower girl. He attempts to help her out of squalor due to his friendship with a wealthy man.
This film is genius and heartbreaking. Chaplin uses the drama of a blind woman's hopes to tug at the heartstrings and we hope for them to finally find one another.
This is a great start to the world of Chaplin, unforgettable and timeless.
