Fortune and Glory
Favorite Movie Quote: "I've got a bad feeling about this..."
*SPOILER ALERT* You will not like this installment of the Indiana Jones franchise because Indy doesn't fight Nazis and you will definitely not like the ending because it isn't the same as the first three...
Most people seem to complain about what the Crystal Skull ends up being in the end. I would really like to hear some suggestions on how the ending could have been better. I will say that the ending was pretty fanciful, but it was supposed to be! I don't like Ghostbusters because, while the concept of people going around busting ghosts makes me feel good, it isn't very realistic...
The fact that Harrison Ford and Karen Allen are reunited in this movie is enough to make up for the "cheap, cop out ending." You could always go see 'What happens in Vegas'

I thought it was done well. Its obviously gotta be at a later date in time since Harry's older, and the next big thing after the nazis was the Iron Curtain and the space race.
The ending, I agree it was a bit too bubble gum, couldve been better by bringing Mutt and Indi back to the school where Indi is professor. Mutt now enrolled in school and being taught by his father has the same insatiable curiosity for ancient artifacts. They're learning about some legend, and Mutt makes a comment about it that Indi himself never considered. After class they discuss it and UREKA! A new adventure is about to begin.... |

I'd like to suggest that Indy is not about fighting Nazis; that he just ends up going against them on some of his adventures in his search for archaeological artifacts. Take TEMPLE OF DOOM, for example... no Nazis there, just a stumble into an adventure.
I have several ways that I'd suggest they could make the ending better but I'm writing about this topic in my column tomorrow (I hate spoilers) so I'll get back to you afterwards! ^.- |
