Movie Review by Ryan Midnight
December 15th, 2007

Hard-Boiled Plot: 18 directors each submitted a five minute vignette set in Paris, as a letter of adoration to the city of love.

The Essentials: While at first cute and quaint, the repetition becomes tired and flat halfway through, even with the wide range of characters and directing styles. Every time you start to get interested in a character, it ends, and you have to start over. This would have worked much better as a webisode series, with each segment released one at a time, so that you could let each story seep in, and really enjoy each lavish shot of Paris.

The Verdict? Even Steve Buscemi getting the crap kicked out of him in the subway via The Coen Brothers can't persuade me to recommend this.
