Surpise Surprise!!!!

Talk about an unexpected gem in the rough, this film is the perfect example of why you never judge a book by its cover. At first glance I didn't think much of D.R.C. and had past it up a few times before finally picking up a copy at the video store. Now maybe because my expectations were so low I wasn't prepared for what would transpire. From the very get go it got my attention as we witness the start of a journey involving four friends on a mission.Their mission.....to make it to Detroit to witness one of the greatest spectacles of the modern era, a Kiss concert. These guys are such extreme fans that when one of them wins front row tickets over the radio they take it as a sign from the gods of rock-n-roll.So with the tone set for their adventure they set out on a long drive to the motor city.Along the way they encounter numerous obstacles, trials& tribulations, and odd-balls that put their faith in all things Kiss at risk. With what seems like some all mighty force doing anything in its power to stop them the four dudes endure all they can and can't to get to that show. From their car braking down to the four of them splitting up to try and make the magic happen. They seem to take everything that's thrown at them including the kitchen sink, all for the love of rock. You can't help but want to root for the crew as they jump through hoop after hoop. These guys are really dedicated and it shows in their performances.I especially like James DeBello in this flick,he's the one iconic die-hard Kiss fan that was in every school during the late 70's early 80's,slightly crazy, totally grunge. The rest of the cast does a great job and nothing should be taking away from them but DeBello steals the show. It's a pretty entertaining film from start to finish and I'd recommend it to anyone who's into movies like Road Trip,Fanboys, and so on.So next time you're at the vid store, you have no clue what to get and you feel like a good laugh, check this on out!
