Sorry, Zombie Boy...

...I wanted to like it. I really really did, and I tried. But frankly it dragged, and I came out of it feeling like it was a steaming pile of poo.

I will say that I appreciated the effort. possibly my biggest gripe was one that couldn't be helped. As a member of the hearing impaired community, I find Subtitles/Closed Captioning essential to my movie-watching pleasure. Without it I am often frustrated if not completely lost. In this case, the score drowned out close to 50% of the dialog, and if I hadn't read a couple of reviews already and the back of tyhe DVD case, I'd have had no effing clue what was going on.

I liked most of the lo-fi effects and makeup, on the other hand. The actors were, however, pretty atrocious, if I do say so myself. I didn't really get The Preacher Man...and that motley crew of dead people at the beginning, around Susan's car....well, I'd have to pretty much call that scene pathetic.

I tried, but I'll never watch it again. If you wanna check it out, shoot me a line and I'll send it to you, i bought the f*cker on ebay so I could watch it.

Ettu, brute?

It's cool. This film isn't for everyone. One of the reasons I like it so much :)

Yeah, had a lot of bullsh*t going on, in addition to my usual laziness and forgetfulness. I will either mail it out today or tomorrow.

Steaming. Pile. of. Poo. Ouch. Of course, any movie that stars somebody named Scooter, somebody else named "John Weiner", Pericles (no less) Lewnes, Stark freaking Raven, Flora Fauna, Marina Del Rey and last but not least Smalls Johnson is probably not gong to be a front runner for the New York Film Critics Awards. Nothing like a movie that none of the cast want to have their names associated with. If anything it sounds like it was made by a porn company. Did you notice any unusually graphic gratuitous sex scenes? Now I'm going to HAVE to see this :)
