Movie Review by Zara

I blame the Zombie Boy

My good friend Zombie Boy, (yes, you heard me correctly. Check out MatchFlick columns to understand what I'm talking about) recommended that I watch this movie. He warned me that it was very low budget and that I should take that into account before laying out my final decision on the movie.

I would say the same for anyone else who is interested in watching the movie. It is painfully, wretchedly low budget. It is graphic not only in its violence but in the sex portrayed. The acting is... well, stomach churning at moments, moreso than the blood or gore on the screeen.

And yet there is something to this film that just might cause you to stop and wonder. The idea of people living forever because the Angel of Death was slacking and happened to fall in love with a mortal woman. (OK, yeah, I needed ZB to point that out to me since I thought it was just a butch lesbian in costume. So sue me...)

It's a shame that the high production values of recent films have spoiled us to the point that we don't recognize a good story when it slaps us in the face. We're so used to being fed crap as a nation, from recycled plots in movies to fast food a t drive-thrus, that we just don't know how to really look for the nutritional value in something.

This movie is worth looking into. Just remember to look hard.

This was a good concept, just delivered poorly. Give it some quality acting and it would be much better. I don't even care about the budget.
