Movie Review by Ron
June 20th, 2007

I love it when a plan comes together...

If you committed a crime and you wanted to frame someone for it. Why would you set up four good guys with Special Forces training? Wouldn't it make much more sense to frame some people that had criminal records instead? That is the only unbelievable portion of this movie. And the fact that for being highly trained commandos they aren't very good shots.

The A-team consisted of: Hannibal [George Peppard] their brilliant leader and master of disguise. Templeton Peck (Face) [Dirk Benedict] the handsome con man. Murdock [Dwight Schultz] the crazy pilot. Bad Attitude (BA) Baracus [Mr.T] the weapons expert and enforcer. Even though they were on the run for a crime they didn't commit they selflessly risked capture to help out innocent citizens that couldn't stand up for themselves.

The two hour pilot episode (movie) was turned it into a campy and formulaic action show. And it worked! At least for a season or two. Until the team had already saved every mom and pop business in America. (And a few over seas as well.) Still, it was always fun to watch. If just to see what crazy device they would create to fight the baddies with. Or to see how they would try to trick BA onto an airplane. Or how they would get Murdock out of whatever mental institution he was in at the time.

Bottom Line: Cheesy action with a heart of gold. Plus, the theme song is amazing!

Hannibal is actually the master of disguise and Face is the resident con man.

I think it was just the 2 hour pilot episode. And they decided to call it a movie.

I didn't think that you could go back and edit your reviews... That is good to know...
