Oy

I should have known better than to waste money on this movie, but it was Friday night and I usually take My Midget out to see a flick at the second-run theater where movies only cost $3. Since we'd already seen all of the other flicks or the others were inappropriate for a 6 year old to watch in public, we did this one.

Well, at least she liked it. Covering a good number of the more popular blockbuster films that we've seen over the past couple of years, she recognized many of the characters if not realizing that they were being made fun of. She was particularly amused with the albino that they make fun of from the DaVinci Code, even though we haven't seen that one.

Personally, I didn't laugh once. There were people around us in the theater who had periodic bursts of laughter, but it was mostly annoying to me. The only reason why I'm bothering to give it one star as opposed to the zero stars that I would give it if I could was that Crispin Glover is in it recreating Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka.

Gotta love the power of a guy who used to be a teen heartthrob. He's the only actor who is parodied twice for characters that he created. (Well, Willy he re-created, but still.)

It's a rather bad movie. I should have known considering that it's from the same people that brought DATE MOVIE to the screen. Good concept, extremely poor execution.
