Even Money is Even Better then I expected!
Even Money is an awesome sleeper film. It looks very desirable with its all star and talented cast including Kim Basinger, Danny DeVito, Kelsey Grammer, Nick Cannon(well no star but I know who he is,)Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker and Tim Roth. This film has a great cast and delivers everything to be expected.
Kim Basinger is at her prime, since her role in The Sentinel I have really started to enjoy her acting ability. She has come a long way since her performance of Vicky Vale in the first Batman film. Ray Liotta is Ray Liotta.....always a pleasure to watch and has been getting some great roles lately. It was rather strange seeing him being cast as the sensitive husband type but it was a nice change in pace for the usual kick ass and take names thug. What more can be said about Forrest Whitaker since his great performance in The King Of Scotland? This guy is certainly one of the most overlooked and underrated actors in Hollywood.
The film follows 3 different types of people with gambling in their life. First you have the man who is $10,000.00 in debt from sports betting, then you have the common housewife who has lost $90,000.00 of her and her husbands retirement fund and you also have a gambling bookey who is experiencing all the bad parts of being involved with illegal and dangerous activities.
It is a great film set at a wonderful pace and I really enjoyed it. If your a fan of Owning Mahoney, Rounders or any other gambling addiction film that is set as a strong and intense drama then you will love it ....But if nothing else a film lover will enjoy this and find it immensely entertaining for the talent that is involved.
