Movie Review by B Movie Ben
May 4th, 2008

Let's start building some hurting bombs.

Favorite Movie Quote: "But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I really thought that I would be disappointed by this movie. The thought of Sylvester Stallone boxing at 60 was funny. I mean the guy is four years older than I am and I wouldn't even think of doing that!

But, I was surprised that the boxing was not the main focus of this movie. It was about standing up in the face of adversity and staying the course no matter how many times you get knocked down. Like the boxer Husky Miller says in Carmen Jones: "Big boy, remember, You mus' remember... Stan' up an' fight until you hear de bell, Stan' toe to toe, Trade blow fer blow, Keep punchin' till you make yer punches tell, Show dat crowd watcher know! Until you hear dat bell, Dat final bell, Stan' up an' fight like hell!"

Rocky knew he had another fight in him and wasn't going to listen to the naysayers. he just stood up and did his best. This is a great film to watch when you are feeling that the whole world is against you and things just aren't going your way.

Keep punchin' till you make yer punches tell
