Movie Review by Lisa
February 2nd, 2007

While everyone else was out getting hammered on New Years Eve I and a few close friends watched as another great Mel film rolled over the big screen.

The thing that stood out in both this movie and "The Passion of Christ" was Mel's ability to make you forget that you are reading sub titles and to draw you into the film so much so that it almost feels like you understand every word.

Rudy Youngblood plays the role of "Jaguar Paw" a young hunter who is forced to leave his young son and heavily pregnant wife when his village is attacked by and invading Mayan army. I'm no historian but I felt that the film was a good representation of the Myan culture at that time.

I really enjoyed this movie and thought Rudy put on an emphatic performance.

I KNOW it surprised me too.....coz as a person I think he's a total class 'A' wanker, but what can I say he makes good movies.
