Don't flush this movie just yet!
I'm sure a lot of people look at the advertisements for this flick and just go, "meh...just another one of those claymation doohickeys". I kind of thought that at first, except I like Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run...I like the clay animation...it's cool...and it looks like it takes an aweful lot of work.
This story of a pet rat, named Roddy, that lives uptown in a nice place with a nice little girl as his owner. He's used to driving around Barbie's sports car and doing as he pleases, but he's very lonely. One day a mucky, yucky rat gets shot up through the sink from the sewer. In Roddy's efforts to get rid of this gross rat he gets flushed down the toilet and ends up in a huge rat city in the sewer.
Roddy has lots of crazy adventures while trying to get back home when he encounters another rat who's on the run from a villainous toad and his henchmen. They get away from the toad, only to be chased on their journey to get back up to his home.
I have to say my favorite part is the singing slugs...I'm telling you I cracked up! So did my little sister! If you rent or buy the DVD make sure you check out the special features and take a look at the slug songs...they're great! Also in the special features there are lots of interesting things to check out...including how to make a slug with some clay. It's awesome! Check it out!

| I liked it enough. Midget liked it quite a bit. I found it odd how many movies Hugh Jackman was in last year if you include his voice performance in this and HAPPY FEET. |
