UHGGGGG Cant win lately

Favorite Movie Quote: "I don't start fights. I mean, look at this face. Come on."

Haven is a disaster all together. This type of story is being told all too often in which the story tells mini stories inside the movie that all try to link together at the end. Its a cool concept and very entertaining when done correctly however Frank E. Flowers blew it big time.

This reminds you of one long Real World or Laguna Beach episode just with a little more violence and corruption. It focuses on a bunch of drug addict kids living on an island and all the drama that's going on with the kids such as problems with their parents, boyfriends etc.

The cast was anything BUT impressive, yes Zoe Saldana and Joy Bryant are nice to look at but acting skills definitely was not a mandatory qualification to get cast in this film. You probably know Zoe as Anamaria in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and also in Drumline as Laila. Joy Bryant is known for Honey, Antwone Fisher and The Skeleton Key.

Bill Paxton was surprisingly good in the film but he is not one of the main stars. Orlando Bloom...picked this film why??? My guess is that The Lord Of The Rings trilogy ended in 2003 with Return of the King so he probably panicked that the only big film that was being offered to him was Troy (another epic battle movie) and wanted to get away from being typecast. Then like an idiot he did another one being Kingdom Of Heaven. Still though after he had already been in two of the largest franchises EVER (LOTR and Pirates) why would he do crap like this?

You will see a good many familiar faces when watching this movie buts its all actors that aren't important enough for you to remember their name. If the director would have spent more time on the story (which he also wrote) then he might could have made something magical but at best this is a late night cable movie that wouldn't have even been a straight to video.
