Verrrrry Interesting
I was actually amused that the movie BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER, as detailed in this documentary about the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and the ratings board, was given an NC-17 rating. I found it to be far more tame than a great deal of the movies that I've seen over the years. I had no idea that it was torn apart because of a scene where a woman masturbates while still full clothed.
Insinuation apparently will be the death of us all.
Well, insinuation of sex. Insinuation of violence, that being scenes where people are shot but no blood is shown, is perfectly acceptable.
Brilliant flick. If you are new to movies or if you're a big movie geek like me, this documentary is palatable for everyone to enjoy and understand. I found it extremely enlightening and I thought I knew more about this subject than it turned out that I did.
I highly, highly recommend watching this movie.

Insinuation will be the death of us? But we both seem to be alive?!?
I have yet to see this, it has now been promoted to 'movie I'm watching next'. |
