An act of terrorism
I'm pretty sure this film has been shipped of to Iraq to be shown to "terrorism suspects" by CIA agents. And if it has, I'm in full favour of charging the US government with war crimes. No electrodes, dripping taps or cat of nine tails could ever compete with the agony endured by watching this film.
This movie was so cringingly bad that I had to walk out. The only reason I stayed in the theatre as long as I did was because I was promised I would see Jesus holding a water bottle. Even that was a disappointment.
The script was so drearily bad that I wanted to tear my ears off. Sample: "I think God put the smoke there to hide from us what we're not ready to see yet." My god!
Stone clearly wanted to upset and he succeeded in my case.
This movie is an insult to me, an insult to the victims of the 9/11 attack, an insult to humanity in general and an insult to America. Maybe it's not so bad after all.
