Movie Review by Misty

Can we say confusing?

Yes, it's a confusing flick. Yes, you have to sit still and pay attention to even remotely try to understand what the heck's going on in this one. Is it even worth watching if it's so darn confusing? I say yes!

This was the first movie I've seen with this interpolated rotoscoping technology and I thought it was very interesting. If you don't know what that is...it's like they film the movie and then they animate over it...so it looks really real, but it also has animated characteristics. It's actually pretty cool.

If you've ever been on drugs you'll see some things that might look familiar...the paranoia mostly. I've never done any drugs that induce hallucinations, so this movie was kind of a trip for me, but I could relate to Keanu's character's struggle of being a cop trying to bust drug dealers and being sucked into the addiction himself...and trying to cope with his realization that he needed to quit, because it was messing with his mind.

It's not a movie that everyone will enjoy, because not everyone will be able to sit through it. It really has no action...it's all talking and hallucinating and craziness. I had to watch it twice to get everything that I missed the first time, but I thought it was still a pretty good flick.
