Who writes the history? Um, well...

I would like to be writing about the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, but since I haven't seen it yet, I will have to satisfy myself with two of its stars who appear in this documentary about why we do not have an electric car on the road today : Colette Divine and J. Karen Thomas. They appear among many other famous celebs like Ed Begley Jr., Phyillis Diller, Tom Hanks, and the writer of the quote at the top of this piece, Mel Gibson.

In case you don's know it, we had an electric car on the road in America just a couple of short years ago. It was killed and the cars repossessed by GM and destroyed. Why? Aren'e we addicted to oil as the President says? Isn't this the way to combat $3.00+ gas? Sure, but the oil companies, the auto manufacturers, and even those who want to continue to drive their gas-gussling, polluting behemoths all are guilty of killing this machine.

This was an outstanding story of why we do not have these cars in our driveways right now. We could, but too many interests would be hurt. Yes, we ARE addicted to oil and we will not break that addiction soon, no matter how many of our young men and women we have to sacrifice to keep the flow coming.
