Movie Review by Zombie Boy
August 21st, 2007

"I'm gonna get a blue Humvee with 'ICEMAN' written on the side."

Okay, so, this was a British movie titled The Magic Roundabout, brought to American screens by executive producer Butch Hartman (creator of my favorite Nicktoon, the Fairly Odd Parents). First order of business: redub almost every voice performance (only Kylie Minogue and Ian McKellan made the cut). Normally something like that would steam my beans, but along with suffering through more mugging from Whoopi Goldberg and Jimmy Fallon, we also get strong work from Jon Stewart (a personal hero of mine), William H. Macy (quite a far cry from EDMOND), Bill Hader (recently seen opposite Seth Rogen in Superbad) and Kevin Smith as a gaseous Moose.

There's not much to the story, and the film references get tired real quick, but it does sport great animation, and it made my daughter laugh. See it for Stewart and Hader if for nothing else.
