One of the Best Sequels Ever Made
Underworld: Evolution Movie Review
Director: Len Wiseman
Actors: Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman, and Tony Curran
Rated R: For Pervasive Strong Violence and Gore, Some Sexuality/Nudity and Language
Selene and Michael find themselves on the run from the other remaining vampires. However, a new threat emerges when Kraven, the villain from the previous movie, unleashes Marcus, the very first vampire. Marcus has been accidentally transformed into a vicious new hybrid of vampire that is incredibly strong and can fly. Once released from his crypt, he begins to pursue Selene who holds the key to a secret mission. Selene doesn't know her role in the scheme, but it is one that will forever affect both vampires and werewolves.
Underworld: Evolution is definitely a step up compared to the first Underworld film. Underworld 2 has great Acting, good Directing, magnificent Special Effects, and great Writing. Let me start off with probably the best aspect of the movie and that was the Special Effects, the Special Effects were just plainly spectacular! I loved at the end when the helicopter crashes it seemed so real. The gore was also another good aspect it had just the right amount of gore not too much and not too little. The Acting was probably the second best aspect; Kate Beckinsale is just plainly wonderful as the role of Selene, she has that dark secretive vibe to her, Scott Speedmen also is great for the role of her "sidekick/partner". No other actors/actresses stood out like those two did. The Writing was very good for this movie; Underworld 2 has a great story/plot. The last thing I would like to bring up is the Directing; I thought the angels the camera was at and the picture were very good.
Overall if you liked the first Underworld not doubt about it you'll love the sequel
