Pride and Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice is the story of a young love between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. The first time Elizabeth and Darcy are introduced, Elizabeth thinks Darcy only an arrogant stuck-up snob, and thoroughly enjoys the chance to verbally spar with him and knock him down a few pegs. The second meeting shows Mr. Darcy starting to realize that Elizabeth is a wonderful woman. Elizabeth starts to feel answering feelings, but they are soon changed by an unfortunate misunderstanding. As more time passes, Elizabeth realizes that her hasty thoughts about Mr. Darcy were completely wrong. This was a wonderful movie, and you connect with the characters right away. What Elizabeth feels, the viewer experiences also. At the first meeting of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, you dislike Darcy almost as much as Elizabeth does, but then you connect with his character as well. You feel both sides of the emotional conflict, and understand both, and even though at the beginning you want Darcy to fail in whatever his plans are, you start to root for him and hope Elizabeth will come to her senses. This is a masterful story and the actors chosen are perfect for their parts. I recommend this film to everyone who likes a good romance that doesn't follow standard or traditional lines.
