A Great Psychological Thriller

Flightplan Movie Review

Director: Robert Schwentke

Actors: Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, and Sean Bean

Rated PG-13: For Violence and Some Intense Plot Material

After the unexpected death of her husband, airplane designer Kyle Pratt (Foster) takes her daughter, Julia, on board a state-of-the-art 474 aircraft to fly from Berlin to New York. In the middle of the nonstop flight, Julia seemingly disappears without a trace. Kyle begins to panic when the crew, including Capt. Rich (Bean) and Air Marshal Gene Carson (Sarsgaard), claim the girl never boarded the plane at takeoff.

Flightplan had Great Acting, Directing, Special Effects, and Magnificent Writing. This film had a lot of great aspects to it but also 1 bad thing. The first good aspect that sticks out among the rest is the Acting, Jodie Foster in my personal opinion is one of the best Actress's in the world she did very well in this movie as well as Panic Room I guess she has a thing with psychological thrillers. No one else's performance really stands out as well as Jodie's did. My other big positive aspect is the Writing this movie's writing was by far some of the best writing I've heard all year. I only have one negative aspect and that is Peter Sarsgaard's character, I guess he just seemed weak and kind of pointless but yet a huge part of the movie. Other than that little mishap this movie rocked I definitely recommend it for everyone.

Overall If You Like Psychological Thrillers or Jodie Foster You'll Love This Movie

I love Sarsgaard, but I hated this movie. It was just a PANIC ROOM on a plane, in my opinion.

Yup, I agree. Peter Sarsgaard is great, but not so much in this movie. The movie was just fluff, nothing really special.

Flightplan wasn't exceptionally great, but it wasn't terribly bad either. Funny how Sarsgaard likes playing that type of character though (I won't digress on what type, but you know what I mean).
