Movie Review by Zara December 14th, 2008

I'm reviewing this movie now as opposed to when I earlier joined the site, mainly because at the time I was trying to only review movies which needed more content on them. But now, after having not too long ago rewatched this movie, I figured I would throw my two cents in.
I was never a huge fan of STAR WARS as a whole. When I was a child, I loved it because back then you were SUPPOSED to love it. There weren't a sh*tload of movies opening at the box office every weekend and when I was young, the INDIANA JONES and STAR WARS movies would stay in the theaters for up to a YEAR. Few of the families I knew had VCRS until I was around 8 or 9 years old and even then it was a pain to get membership at certain rental places.
But now that we have the technology to be able to rewatch and go back with movies, I am beginning to more and more not like the first few STAR WARS movies because they were good but because of the nostalgic feelings that they bring up in me. As an adult, I can look at the series as a whole and laugh when I hear Lucas say that he'd written the entire plotline for all six movies at one time. No... he didn't. He wrote the first one, had no clue it would be as popular as it was, then had to come up with more sh*t to satiate the fans' desires for more story and his desire for more money. Otherwise he would have been a gentleman and let the story die.
Sadly, he didn't let the story die even with this movie, the third chronologically and the "last" of the two sets of trilogies. He had to come up with the animated CLONE WARS and as time goes on, he'll keep tweaking the story and coming up with more sh*t to cash in on, laughing at the people who have made this series a part of their pathetic lives and cashing in on their foolishness.
Is this movie entertaining? Somewhat. Does it have good graphics? Definitely. Is it a good movie? No, not at all. It's dark, boring and lifeless. It's mediocre but even that is only held up by its technical skills and not its story or character ones.
Lucas? Let it die. Let it ALL, every facet, die. And for the fans, back away from this and leave it alone. You're just like the dumbsh*ts who would watch every POLICE ACADEMY movie, only you have a higher opinion of yourselves. Get over it.
