Shopgirl (2005)

So, I can hurt now, or hurt later.
Some compare this to Lost in Translation. I had to watch that film three times before I really enjoyed it. I can say that I enjoyed Steve Martin's story on the first viewing.
I actually tuned in to see if Jason Schwartzman was as obnoxious as I have seen him in other films. I was pleasantly surprised. I could not under stand how Mirabelle (Claire Danes) could even give him a second look. She certainly made the right choice in telling him to take a hike after she met Ray (Steve martin). But, he got his act together and came back in the stretch to get back in the game.
Ray blew it, and he knew he blew it. He had it all and just let it go. What a shame.
Well, all is well that ends well, and this one ended very well.
The music was especially great throughout, and Bridgette Wilson was cute as the ditsy blonde.
