Movie Review by Zara
December 6th, 2007

I liked the movie. I find it perplexing that there are people who couldn't find something about it to appreciate. Strong female lead (although FAR over-glamourized than the real woman that the film is based on), hard hitting action, good romantic scenes with some scorching sex and two of the guys from 90210 get the beat up on. What's there not to like?

Sure, it's hard to like if you're on the fence about whether Knightley is a good actress or just another one of those over exposed fem-bots that you get tired of because you can't escape them. But I've always had this thing about chicks with short hair kicking ass and taking names. I can't help myself.

The action was on par for what I prefer, loud and chaotic and without much purpose. The downside is that after reading about the real Domino, while the movie does stay true in some regards, far too much was taken liberty with and other than the final scene where you find out that she's died from the dedication to her, they leave you thinking that everything was hunky dory. In reality, she continued to lead a life of action, blood and craziness. But it wasn't nearly as pleasant as they would like you to believe.
