I get the feeling that this movie was Elijah Wood's attempt to look tough and shed his hobbit status....it didn't work he still looks like a pu**y in this film, nether the less I did find this movie was entertaining.
Wood play Matt Buckner, after being expelled from Harvard for cocaine possession (which was his room mates) he high tails it to sunny ole London to live with his sister and her husband Steve. Steve's younger brother Pete (Hunnam) is recruited to show Matt around London, instead he opts to take the young yanky boy to the pub, get him wasted and take him to the Westham game (FYI Westham suck). Pete's a bit of a hooligan and spends more time picking fights than watching the game. After the game Matt takes his leave, but is soon reunited with Pete and his mates when they stop him from getting jumped by a bunch of supporters from the opposing side. After the scuffle it's back to the pub where they initiate there new found yanky pal into there little group over a beer or 10. Turns out Pete and his mates like to go to football games and pick fights with the opposing team.
K so you get the general idea, there's lots of fistfights, c*ckney slang, and blood. My big problem is Wood, he's just not tough looking and it doesn't help that he talks like his balls haven't dropped, Hunnam was ok but his accent is so messed up that sometimes he sound like a yank trying to put on an English accent.
All in all if you're up for a little violence this film will keep you plenty entertained.
