They call 'em accidents cause it's nobody's fault.

Favorite Movie Quotes from : An Unfinished Life

Jean Gilkyson: They're good enchiladas... served by good people. I'm a good person. I'm also one who's taken more than her fair share of sh*t from men. I couldn't take a pinch of crap from two little cheesedicks like you.

This film was a good solid film. It has plenty of drama but also demonstrates how to develop likeable characters for the audience to relate to.

The thing that bothers me most about this film is the casting though. You have two veterans being Morgan Freeman and Robert Redford. These two actors never let you down and rarely do bad films. Then you have Jennifer Lopez and Josh Lucas who are your newer "teen" favorites AKA really sh*tty / cheesy actors that are only in film because of their sex appeal. It seems like a very weird combination.

I could watch Morgan Freeman stand in front of a camera reading the bible backwards and it would still entertain me. He is not only one of my favorite actors but I have really grown to like him EVEN more the older I get.

The story is not very original. Let's face it the abused woman moving to a new place plot has been done a bunch. Oh and lets not forget that the Ex is just about the stupidest person to ever live....someone who is not afraid of being threatened by a gun.

So all in all the casting could have been better and the plot could have used some originality to it but its a solid film worth watching.
