Movie Review by Zara
June 18th, 2009

Are the TRANSPORTER movies turning out to be very silly and very stupid and very unbelievable in terms of their story lines? Absolutely. Does that make them any less fun. Not in the slightest.

While there was no love interest in this movie save for a respect of a married woman and the psychotic licking lust from a chick with an ugly tattoo on her inner thigh, the good part is that it made more time for action sequences. And smartly enough, the people behind the first movie had the good senses to understand that these movies are fun and stupid and just went with it. The action is wilder and even more implausible, making it that much more fun to watch. Especially without the pesky girl addition.

But best of all is bringing back the French police detective from the first movie who wanders around the American officials like Rachael Ray at a Williams & Sonoma. People seem to think he's haughty just because he's French (W&S being expensive) but in the end follow him around like lonely little puppies, all while he has a laugh about being around in the movie only to serve the Transporter's needs. His character is certainly worth watching if you've seen the first film.

Now looking forward to watching the third movie. Bad things usually come on the third pass. We'll see.

The French police officer stole every scene he was in. Good choice bringing him back. I really could have done without the string-bean Pink impersonater, she was just bad.

"Death by Rabbit" was the tattoo and seemed utterly pointless. Well, the whole thing was pretty pointless. But... it had Matthew Modine!
