Movie Review by James
August 27th, 2005

Red Eye is a pretty good thriller with a great performance by growing star Rachel McAdams. The story iteself is not the best I have ever seen, while the suspense is good and holds your attention, the actors did a good job playing each part, which makes up for the not so perfect story. Now don't get me wrong, the story was ok even though I have just seen better, but the worst part of this movie and the story were the really lame assasins who were so stupid that it seemed like they had learned the art of assasination from the book -- Assasination for Dummies.

This is a good thriller to go along well with some of the other great thrillers out there, both old and new, like -- Kiss the Girls or Seven both with the one and only Morgan Freeman, The Sixth Sense with always awesome Bruce Willis, Frailty with one of the nicest guys in Hollywood Bill Paxton, In Dreams with Annette Benning and Robert Downey Jr., The Game with the always great Michael Douglass, The Life of David Gale with Kevin Spacey, The Final Cut with Robin Williams, The Usual Suspects with Keving Spacey Benicio Del Tor and the very cool Gabriel Byrne, The Silence of the Lambs with Jodie Foster, Misery with the very cool James Caan, and a very surprising Cellular starring the very cool Jason Stratham (The Transporter) and the always hot Kim Bassinger, along with the also very cool William H. Macy who is a really good actor.

Red Eye is pretty good, the story was ok and the movie was worth seeing, the underlying shot taken at national security in the United States is cool and frighteningly accurate, and McAdams and the rest of the cast did a good job. I give this one 3 1/2 stars.
