Broken Flowers showcases more of Bill Murray's talents

"Broken Flowers" with Bill Murray is one of the best movies I have seen this year. I like a movie that does not come out and tell you what is going on. It leaves it up to you decide. Bill Murray has proven with movies like "Lost in Translation" he can play a serious role with ease. He plays a man who is left by his girlfriend, he then gets a letter from a mysterious ex saying he has a kid and he is the father from 19 years ago.

There is no name attached with it. Just pink paper and the letter. His friend who is extremely funny named Winston tells him to go on a search and find out who the mother is and to find his son. He goes on a cross country seach at the pushing of Winston to find out the truth. But during this, it causes him to examine his relationships and his life as it is now.

I could see a whole movie based on the buddy dynamic of Murray and Winston. He encounters numerous ex's played by talented women. He sort of gets a glimpse of what his life might have been like if he married or stayed with any of these women. It's very interesting. Bill Murray is the master and amazing when it comes to giving off so much emotion but doing nothing and just looking at the tv set or the road. You ask yourself .. "what is he thinking, what's going on his head?". This is a powerful and very funny movie that will stay with you for days.
